WebSep 21, 2024 · Regarding the Zennio user manual the Klick-DA v2 will work as an additional control unit in parallel (!) to the build in interface, not as the main controller. So via the Zennio you are able to read values from the heat pump and "write" command to the Daikin. But the Altherma will still do the work on its own as long as you don't send commands.

I've not had any experience with the altherma as yet but it sounds like it could be that instead of using an input trigger, theyve used an output, this may seem a bit double Dutch but if it is then the pump will be calling for heat constantly, that's where the electric is being used.

The unit seems to work fine at outside temperatures above 5 degrees heating the house to 18 degrees without issue. However as soon as the the temperature drops defrost cycles increase in frequency.
